I liked how the facility had a monthly calendar that listed events such as bingo, piano night, comedy night, etc. These events were very cool in providing the patient excitement to help make them give somewhat of a notion that life isn't over for them. There is still time to live, laugh, and enjoy. The facility had nice and peaceful areas outside that you can take your love one for a short walk. It was frustrating in dealing with the doctors and nurses that treated the patients as if it was the end of the road for them.

I think they had three or four different doors you could go out to be on different sides of the building. They had some games you could play out there. They had some sun umbrellas up, so it looked very comfortable if you wanted to go outside.
The administrator and director of nursing are making great improvements to the center. It is nothing like it was in early to mid 2016. With these changes I have seen, and with those to come, this center will definitely be in a class by itself. We want our entire staff to feel awesome about their job every day. My mother died in this facility, she was pretty much ignored because she was unable to speak, but thankfully, I had family nearby to visit and to watch over her. Examples of issues included - no hand washing, my mom had food and dirt caked under her nails! The staff was using a scrub cleanser on her and tearing her skin, and she had a little tiny pillow and scratchy blankets.
